a mystery solved...
i was wondering how so many recruiters have found my resume lately... seems that my site is generating many Google hits and thus has a pretty high relevance score for certain searches. eg: if you search google for the phrase: peoplesoft crm resume, you will generate (roughly) 6100 hits. As of tonight (7 February), my resume (deep-linked into my site) comes up on the first page of search results (at the bottom of the page, but still, that makes it like number 10 out of 6100... not too shabby). I had always wondered how people stumbled onto my resume, despite my never having publicised it or loaded it into any databases such as hot jobs or monster.

In case you were wondering what sponsored such a solipsistic posting, I recently read an article about the business value of Google's ratings system, and how a company is actually suing Google over their having manipulated its relevance score. That led me to wonder what kind of relevance scores my site is generating. I had noticed a spike in the hits numbers over the last few months (which I had thought was primarily due to LJ... guess that was incorrect).
